One of the most invigorating aspects of touring as a musician is traveling from town to town meeting interesting strangers. Whether at a truck stop or after a show, musicians have a unique opportunity and passage into the lives of various interesting human beings. People love music and the people that make it. That's just how it is. But one of my oversights as a traveling musician has been my negligence in acknowledging the voices that listen to mine night after night.
Folks feel like they know songwriters oftentimes, being able to relate (sometimes very intimately) to the musings in their songs. In fact, they do know us. When we create bare-faced, vulnerable pieces we create an opportunity for the listener to have a go at self-awareness. This, after all, is why we're compelled to create; to reflect on the good we've found in the world and also that which we hope to abandon.
We don't want people to consider our musings over their own. We're simply fellas that have been a few places and have some place we're trying to get to. And we assume you are too. Therefore, we bring you THE SOFT LEGS CHRONICLES. Enjoy.
